One of the most popular beliefs of the day is that God loves everybody, and the very fact that it is so popular with all classes ought to be enough to arouse the suspicions of those who are subject to the Word of Truth. God’s Love toward all His creatures is the fundamental and favorite tenet of Universalists, Unitarians, Theosophists, Christian Scientists, Spiritualists, Russellites, etc. No matter how a man may live—in open defiance of Heaven, with no concern whatever for his soul’s eternal interests, still less for God’s glory, dying, perhaps with an oath on his lips,—notwithstanding, God loves him, we are told. So widely has this dogma been proclaimed, and so comforting is it to the heart which is at enmity with God, we have little hope of convincing many of their error.   1. Certainly GOD cares somewhat for everybody, I would see the idea of Common Grace, but indeed “loving”… God does only love the “whosoevers” of John 3: 16, and yes these are “the Elect/chosen”. But we also must note 2 Cor. 13: 5!… “Christ in you, the hope of glory or glorification” (Col. 1: 27…noting too verses 28 & 29).

  2. God is love. Every persn has a chance thru free will. We are not robots. We leave God, he dont leave us. Want happend to Cain, after murdering Abel God still gave him a chance to come to him, but Cain chose to leave the presence of the Lord and go to the land of Nod. a little sleep and slumber.And yes a person can backslide.Look at israel.
